Mr. Church has over 17 years of experience in transportation and land use planning. In addition, he also has over nine years of management and administration experience. Prior to joining McMahon, Mr. Church was the Administrator of the Worcester Regional Transit Authority (WRTA) in Worcester, Massachusetts where he served as the Chief Executive Officer formulating WRTA policies and providing overall direction of the WRTA staff and its contractors. Much of his work involved extensive community engagement and inter-agency coordination. One of the largest projects completed during his tenure was the new WRTA maintenance and operations facility. Prior to the WRTA, Mr. Church served in various roles at both the Central Massachusetts Regional Planning Commission (CMRPC) in Worcester, Massachusetts and at the Central Transportation Planning Staff (CTPS) in Boston, Massachusetts. In these various positions, Mr. Church has worked closely with the public, government agencies, elected officials and various consultants. Mr. Church is a 2004 National Parks Transportation Scholar where he completed the Keweenaw National Historical Park Alternative Transportation Study. Mr. Church is also a graduate of the Eno Center for Transportation’s 2017 Transit Senior Executive Program (TSEP) and was the American Public Transit Foundation’s 2017 Frank J. Lichtanski Scholarship Recipient.
