As part of a multi-disciplinary team, McMahon is responsible for the traffic signal design for the proposed public safety complex project located on South Main Street in Sharon. The public safety complex will house the police and fire departments as well as the existing Department of Public Works’ facilities on site. The proposed traffic signal will accommodate emergency vehicles via a pre-emption phase and will also provide a protected pedestrian crossing on South Main Street and a phase for the proposed safety complex. Conceptual and final design plans and documents were prepared in accordance to MassDOT and town standards. The project included the preparation of cost estimates and design specifications. McMahon also performed construction phase services during the traffic signal installation.
