McMahon has been awarded a continuing services contract to provide district wide traffic operations studies support to District 6 of the Florida Department of Transportation. District 6 is comprised of Miami-Dade and Monroe counties and includes Downtown Miami, Miami-Beach and the Florida Keys. The services will be provided on a task work order basis and include data collection tasks and a wide range of traffic operations and safety analysis/studies. These tasks include, but are not limited to: qualitative assessments (intersection & arterial); signal warrant analysis; intersection analysis; arterial analysis; left-turn phase warrant analysis; supplemental tasks/composite study; public involvement; fatal crash review; speed zone studies; high crash safety studies; 3R safety reviews; crash reviews; conflict analysis; highway lighting studies; sight distance studies; corridor traffic signal system optimization; parking studies; before and after studies; engineering support staff; railroad crossing preemption studies; and intelligent transportation systems studies for safety projects. Many of these tasks require the collection of data such as speed, volume, intersection turning movement volumes, travel time, delay, gap, queuing and pedestrian group sizes and intersection inventories. The contract duration is for 2 years, and a maximum fee of $1.5 million.
