McMahon has been retained by CTDOT on an on-call basis to provide Traffic Engineering services as a subconsultant.

McMahon is currently developing traffic signal design for the South Street (Route 53)/Coal Pit Hill Road and South Street (Route 53)/Town Hill Avenue intersections as part of a larger project that is addressing issues within the City of Danbury and increasing vehicular capacity at the Coal Pit Hill Road Intersection. As part of this design, McMahon is updating the crash analysis provided by CTDOT, as well as determining appropriate signal phasing and timing and developing splits and offsets for the corridor, as these traffic signals will become part of an existing coordinated closed loop system in the City of Danbury. Deliverables include traffic signal plans, pavement marking and signing plans, and crash rates.

We have been assigned a second task order to develop a traffic signal design for the Derby Turnpike (Route 34)/Baldwin Road intersection in Orange which has experienced a high incidence of high severity crashes. As part of this design, McMahon is updating the crash analysis provided by CTDOT, as well as determining appropriate signal phasing and timing and developing splits and offsets for the corridor, as this traffic signal will become part of an existing coordinated closed loop system. Deliverables include traffic signal plans, pavement marking and signing plans, and crash rates.
