McMahon, Swarthmore College and Swarthmore Borough received the ACEC/PA Diamond Award for Engineering Excellence in the Small Projects Category for the Chester Road (SR 320) Swarthmore Roundabout project. The engineering team, led by Joseph DeSantis, along with Jan Semler. Director of Capital Planning and Project Management at Swarthmore College and Jane Billings, Borough Manager of Swarthmore received the award at the 2017 Diamond Awards Gala.
The Massachusetts Chapter of the American Planning Associates gave a Comprehensive Planning Award for the Falmouth Transportation Master Plan. The Town of Falmouth tapped the talents of McMahon's planning, traffic and design groups in New England for this great project.
McMahon was proud to receive the Delaware County Planning Commission William H. Bates Memorial Award for Outstanding Site Design & Land Planning with Swarthmore Borough & Swarthmore College for the Town Center West project.

Also, McMahon Associates was named 2016 Employer of the Year for advancing women in engineering.
McMahon continues to be at the industry forefront in our record of hiring and promoting our women employees to reach excellence in the engineering field. McMahon is comprised of more than 150 employees, of which more than 30% are women. From staff engineers to corporate officers, McMahon encourages our women staff to take leadership roles. Over 40% of our firm’s project managers are women in senior positions as well as one female corporate officer. In 2013, Maureen Chlebek, PE, PTOE was named General Manager of the Taunton, MA and Providence, RI offices. We pride ourselves on being at the forefront of promoting women in leadership positions in comparison to other engineering firms. Specifically in New England, the ratio of women to men has grown to 50:50.

McMahon Associates is proud that John Wichner, P.E., PTOE, Senior Project Manager has been honored as a Lehigh Valley Business Rising Star at their 40 Under 40 awards ceremony held on June 10, in Bethlehem. Mr. Wichner, a rising star engineer with McMahon, serves as the company’s day to day leader of the Lehigh Valley office, located in Downtown Allentown. He is responsible for the high quality of work, the development of company personnel, and business development. He was the Project Manager in charge of developing the Downtown Allentown Traffic Event Management and Mobility Plan for the new PPL Center, home of the Lehigh Valley Phantoms hockey team.
